Workday Finance Lead

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Governance
- Act as the senior Workday Financials SME.
- Provide technical leadership across:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Expenses
- Fixed Assets
- Projects
- Financial Reporting
- Establish configuration, design and support best practice.
- Review and assure functional designs, configurations and solution quality.
- Support architecture decisions and platform roadmap development.
- Lead the design, configuration and implementation of Workday Financials solutions.
- Oversee system enhancements, releases and platform improvements.
- Drive process optimisation and standardisation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance, governance and audit requirements are met.
- Manage workload prioritisation across support and enhancement activities.
- Monitor SLA and KPI performance.
- Act as an escalation point for complex incidents and service issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with senior business stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops and solution design sessions.
- Translate business requirements into scalable functional solutions.
- Present recommendations, risks and options to leadership teams.
- Mentor and coach consultants and analysts.
- Support resource planning and workload management.
- Promote knowledge sharing and capability development.
- Significant experience with Workday Financial Management.
- Proven experience leading Workday Finance implementations, optimisation or support functions.
- Deep understanding of finance operations and enterprise financial processes.
- Experience providing technical assurance and governance within ERP or SaaS environments.
- Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Experience operating within Agile, SAFe or hybrid delivery models.
- Strong understanding of ITSM and service management processes.
