Workday HCM Consultant
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Workday HCM Consultant to support the implementation, optimisation and ongoing support of a complex Workday Human Capital Management environment.
This role is ideal for an experienced Workday professional who enjoys combining hands-on configuration with stakeholder engagement, process improvement and business transformation activities.
You will work across multiple Workday functional areas, helping to deliver scalable and effective HR technology solutions.

  • Act as a functional SME across Workday HCM modules including:
    • Core HCM
    • Organisations
    • Staffing Models
    • Job Architecture
    • Business Process Framework
    • Compensation
    • Absence
    • Talent
    • Performance
  • Configure and optimise Workday HCM functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system incidents and service requests.
  • Manage support tickets and prioritise workloads within SLA-driven environments.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
  • Gather, analyse and document business requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions.
  • Produce functional specifications and configuration documentation.
  • Support process redesign and transformation initiatives.
  • Participate in system, integration and user acceptance testing.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, integration specialists and third-party providers.
  • Support knowledge transfer, service transition and operational readiness activities.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience with Workday HCM.
  • Experience configuring Workday business processes.
  • Strong understanding of HR lifecycle processes.
  • Experience with Workday organisational structures and security concepts.
  • Exposure to payroll processes or third-party payroll integrations.
  • Requirements gathering and business analysis experience.
  • Experience working with ERP or SaaS platforms.
  • Testing and release management experience.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
