This is a senior workplace migration and service transition role requiring practical end-user computing knowledge. The person coordinates country and site teams, device logistics and business readiness, with enough technical understanding to challenge plans and resolve delivery blockers.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate country and site migration waves around confirmed user lists, device types, business availability, stock and technical readiness. Manage appointments, local communications and exception handling
- Operate the swap-and-remaster approach through the delivery teams: provide validated pre-imaged devices, collect legacy assets, sanitise and re-image them, and return suitable equipment to the available stock
- Coordinate hardware refresh, temporary loans, engineering and departmental devices, users with multiple devices, and Spain-specific migration paths. Arrange main-site staging and logistics through local contacts for smaller sites
- Establish IT Corners and staging areas with facilities, network and security teams. Coordinate technicians, secure storage, equipment, device handovers and the split between onsite and remote incident resolution
- Manage user preparation, approved data transfer and restoration arrangements, application readiness and acceptance. Ensure secure handling, wiping and temporary-data retention controls are followed before devices are reused
- Maintain accurate asset and configuration records through migration, moves, additions, changes and disposal. Coordinate peripherals, warranty and repair providers, ticket completion and users joining or leaving
- Prepare the service transition and operations to separate teams, facilities, stock and ITSM access. Monitor delivery progress and service performance, resolve blockers and provide supplier acceptance evidence
Essential skills and experience
- Proven leadership of enterprise desktop migrations, hardware refreshes or workplace service transitions across multiple sites, including practical wave planning and business coordination
- Experience managing onsite support or walk-in IT services and coordinating distributed technicians, remote resolver groups, logistics and external suppliers
- Practical understanding of Windows devices, domain migration, MECM-based imaging and software deployment, BitLocker, application validation and common hardware faults
- Strong device lifecycle and inventory management, including reusable stock, loans, secure sanitisation, repairs, peripheral moves and accurate CMDB records
- Experience controlling user-data risks during migration, coordinating backup and restoration responsibilities, and applying approved security and software licensing processes
- Ability to manage ITSM workflows, service levels, resource constraints, escalations and operational handover, with clear communication to business users and technical teams
