Workday Adaptive Planning Practice Co-Lead

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a senior Workday Adaptive Planning leader to help build and co-lead a growing Adaptive Planning and FP&A practice.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants more than project delivery. You'll work directly with CFOs and finance leaders while helping shape service offerings, delivery standards, team development, and the long-term growth strategy of the practice.
The ideal candidate combines deep Adaptive Planning expertise with a strong FP&A background and experience helping grow consulting, managed services, or planning organizations.
Key ResponsibilitiesPractice Leadership
  • Co-lead the growth and development of the Adaptive Planning practice
  • Establish delivery standards, methodologies, and best practices
  • Mentor and develop consultants as the team scales
  • Partner with leadership on service offerings, go-to-market initiatives, and business growth
  • Support business development efforts and strategic client relationships
FP&A Advisory
  • Partner with CFOs and finance leaders on budgeting, forecasting, reporting, KPI development, and scenario planning
  • Deliver executive-level financial insights and planning recommendations
  • Help clients modernize planning processes and improve operational decision-making
  • Lead knowledge transfer and enablement initiatives to support long-term client success
Adaptive Planning Solutions
  • Lead Adaptive Planning implementations, enhancements, and optimization initiatives
  • Design and build planning models across workforce, revenue, operating expense, capital, and cash flow planning
  • Architect dimensions, levels, accounts, allocations, formulas, and reporting structures
  • Design and support integrations between Adaptive Planning and ERP, HRIS, and financial systems
  • Troubleshoot complex model, data, and integration challenges
Required Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, finance transformation, or financial systems consulting
  • 7+ years of Workday Adaptive Planning experience
  • Deep expertise in Adaptive Planning architecture, administration, and model design
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and management reporting
  • Experience working directly with CFOs, Controllers, and senior finance leadership
  • Experience helping build, grow, or scale an Adaptive Planning, FP&A, EPM, or consulting practice
  • Proven leadership experience mentoring consultants and maintaining delivery excellence across multiple engagements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Workday Adaptive Planning Pro Certification
  • Experience with Workday Financials, Workday HCM, or related ERP platforms
  • Experience supporting private equity-backed or middle-market organizations
  • CPA, CFA, MBA, or related finance credentials
  • Managed services or recurring client support experience
