Analytics Engineer

Our client is an innovative renewable energy and technology company that uses data, design, and engineering to build smarter, cleaner, and more customer-focused energy solutions.This role builds and maintains the data infrastructure and analytics workflows that power financial modeling, reporting, and decision-making across the organization.

Salary: $100,000-120,000 + 10% Bonus

Location: Reports to Houston, TX - Remote 

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and analytics workflows using Python, PySpark, and distributed computing frameworks to process large-scale datasets.
• Build and automate ETL processes, validation routines, and data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency across valuation and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Portfolio Management, and Finance teams to integrate upstream and downstream systems, including ETRM and financial modeling platforms.
• Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and performance optimizations to deliver production-grade, scalable data products.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, or Databricks, including strong understanding of distributed data processing and cloud architectures.
• Deep knowledge of data modeling, software engineering best practices, and DevOps workflows (testing, version control, deployment automation).
• Experience working with energy or financial datasets, including pricing, load forecasting, or P&L modeling in complex, high-volume environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate analytical requirements into technical implementations and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
