Overview:
We are seeking a technically proficient Cybersecurity Analyst to establish and lead enterprise cybersecurity initiatives within a high-paced acquisition-driven energy organization. This individual will be instrumental in consolidating fragmented cyber processes and ensuring robust defense measures post-infrastructure mergers.
Location: Houston, TX - 5 days a week onsite
Contract: 6 months initial - possibility to extend

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cyber investigations, threat mitigation, and incident response.
- Integrate logs across IT (e.g., networking) and OT (e.g., SCADA/process control) environments.
- Strengthen endpoint and perimeter defense using Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike.
- Oversee phishing campaigns and security awareness initiatives.
- Collaborate with enterprise IT to align security protocols with evolving Azure architecture.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure security.
- Proficiency in CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Exchange Online.
- Hands-on expertise in log correlation and forensic analysis.
- Background in cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals).
- Proven experience in oil & gas, energy, or industrial IT environments.
- Ability to thrive in on-site, high-urgency operational settings.
