We're partnering with one of the United States' leading non-profit cancer research and treatment organizations to recruit an experienced Director of Budget to lead its budgeting function during a major period of organizational growth and transformation. Following the successful enterprise-wide implementation of Workday Financials and Workday Adaptive Planning, the organization is continuing to invest heavily in its Finance function, expanding its internal leadership team to drive ongoing platform optimization while supporting several high-profile strategic initiatives, including the development of a brand-new inpatient hospital.

This is a unique opportunity to combine strategic financial leadership with hands-on involvement, leading a growing Budget team while helping shape the financial planning that supports a new inpatient hospital, continued organizational growth and the ongoing optimization of Workday Financials and Workday Adaptive Planning.

You'll oversee the annual budgeting process, mentor and develop a talented Budget team, act as the functional business leader for Workday Financials and Workday Adaptive Planning, and partner closely with Finance, Financial Systems and executive leadership to continuously improve budgeting processes and support major strategic initiatives.

Requirements:
🔹 8+ years' experience in budgeting, financial planning or healthcare finance
🔹 Leadership experience managing and developing budgeting or finance teams
🔹 Hands-on experience with Workday Financials and Workday Adaptive Planning
🔹 Healthcare industry experience (Academic Medical Center or complex healthcare environment preferred)
🔹 Experience supporting enterprise budgeting within large, complex organizations
🔹 Ability to mentor and develop a growing finance team while remaining hands-on when needed
🔹 Experience partnering with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
🔹 Experience supporting major healthcare transformation, hospital expansion or large organizational change initiatives is highly desirable
🔹 Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
