We are supporting a healthcare organisation in the search for an Interim Manager - IS Business Operations to provide operational, financial, and administrative leadership across the Information Solutions function.
This role will oversee day-to-day business operations for the IS department, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, governance, process improvement, and business request management. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership across Information Solutions, Finance, Supply Chain, and other operational teams to improve efficiency, strengthen reporting, support planning, and ensure operational consistency.

This is a strong fit for someone with recent healthcare experience who combines business operations leadership with strong financial planning, reporting, systems, and stakeholder management capability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee day-to-day business operations for the Information Solutions department
  • Manage intake, tracking, prioritisation, and reporting of operational and business requests
  • Partner with IS, Finance, Supply Chain, and operational leadership to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements
  • Support operational planning, budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and investment prioritisation
  • Maintain rolling forecasts and support scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and what-if modelling
  • Deliver executive-level financial and operational reporting, including variance analysis and actionable insights
  • Monitor project costs, accruals, month-end activities, and financial controls
  • Establish and track KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to improve visibility and decision-making
  • Drive process improvement, automation, workflow enhancement, and self-service reporting initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to governance, documentation standards, change control, and data quality processes
  • Identify operational risks, gaps, and inefficiencies, and lead corrective actions and stabilisation efforts
  • Act as a key liaison across internal stakeholders to support cross-functional initiatives and departmental priorities
  • Directly manage and develop at least 2 members of staff, ensuring strong workload management and operational execution
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in FP&A, finance, accounting, workforce planning, people reporting, business operations, or related areas
  • Minimum 2 years of people management experience
  • Recent healthcare industry experience is essential
  • Strong experience supporting business operations, financial planning, and reporting within a large, complex organisation
  • Experience partnering with IT, IS, enterprise systems, or shared services leadership
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across finance, operations, and business teams
  • Experience building executive reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Strong process improvement and operational governance experience
  • Experience with ERP, EPM, or enterprise planning tools in a business operations or finance environment
