We’re seeking an experienced Python Developer to join a fast-paced gaming technology team on a 6-month contract in Austin, TX. The successful candidate will work on backend systems that power large-scale, high-performance gaming platforms.
Contract Details:
- Duration: 6 months (potential for extension)
- Location: Austin, TX (hybrid 2 days a week)
- Rate: 50-60/hr w2
- Industry: Casino gaming and entertainment technology
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, DevOps, and game engineers.
- Optimize APIs and data pipelines for performance and reliability.
- Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical documentation.
- 4+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, or Django).
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservice architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
