We are looking for a senior, hands-on Workday developer to own the technical build end to end across Workday Extend, integrations, and reporting. This is a role for someone who enjoys shaping solutions, challenging assumptions, and building scalable products, not just coding to a spec.

- Lead the technical design and build of Workday Extend applications (orchestration, PMD scripting, UI components)
- Build orchestration services and WQL driven endpoints for secure, performant data access
- Design and develop integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, and Core Connectors
- Build and optimise REST and SOAP APIs, including XML and JSON payloads
- Create data transformations primarily using XSLT (and other fit-for-purpose approaches)
- Troubleshoot complex issues, lead root cause analysis, and improve reliability and monitoring
- Develop custom reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite) and calculated fields to support HCM, Finance, and PSA/Projects stakeholders
- Partner with functional leads and end users to translate requirements into solutions that fit the wider systems architecture
- 5+ years of hands-on Workday development experience across Extend, Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Business Process related integration work
- Proven Extend delivery experience building applications (this is essential)
- Strong API integration experience (REST and SOAP) with solid XML, JSON, and XSLT skills
- Strong Workday reporting capability, including calculated fields and complex report outputs
- Comfortable working independently, driving clarity in ambiguous situations, and owning delivery
- Clear communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience across multiple Workday areas (HCM, Financials, and or PSA/Projects)
- Workday certifications such as Integration Core, Studio, and Extend
- If your background is more Java based, strong Workday integrations experience may be considered where Extend capability is strong
- High trust environment with space to own solutions and set technical standards
- Work that stays close to modern Workday capability, especially Extend and APIs
- Blended working model (office, client site, and virtual) depending on project needs
