I am seeking a Top Tier VP, HRIS Transformation Leader to spearhead the global implementation of Workday across multiple countries and legal entities for a business of circe 300,000 employees.  This executive-level leader will lead a team of approximately 50 FTE's focused on driving an enterprise-wide HR digital transformation, building global shared services, and serving as the strategic architect of a streamlined, data-driven HR ecosystem.

This role requires 10+ years of leadership in HRIS/HRIT, deep expertise in Workday implementations, and a demonstrated ability to deliver efficiency, scalability, and ROI across complex, multi-national organizations. A key part of this role will be to establish and lead a global Workday system integrator (SI) partnership, ensuring consistent delivery excellence across all regions.

The role can be based in the USA or Canada and is fully remote with global travel when needed.

DUTIES:
• Lead the global design and phased deployment of Workday HCM and related modules across diverse geographies.
• Define and implement enterprise-wide Workday architecture, data governance, and integration strategies with downstream systems (ERP, Finance, IT, Payroll).
• Drive configuration, testing, data migration, training, and hypercare support to ensure successful deployments.
• Select, contract, and manage a global Workday system integrator to ensure standardization, scalability, and alignment with transformation goals.
• Establish performance metrics, governance frameworks, and escalation paths for SI engagement across regions.
• Ensure the partnership delivers against speed-to-value, efficiency, and ROI benchmarks.
• Design and implement a future-ready HR operating model that emphasizes automation, user experience, and business alignment.
 • Lead transformation of core HR processes including talent lifecycle, workforce planning, performance, and analytics.
• Identify and realize opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and digital enablement.
• Build and scale Global HR Shared Services, creating unified service delivery models with clearly defined SLAs and self-service capabilities.
• Implement global governance for HR technology, ensuring data quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Act as a transformation advisor to HR and executive leadership, ensuring alignment across regions and functions.
• Lead change management efforts, user adoption strategies, and executive communications to embed sustainable change.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 10+ years in senior HRIS/HRIT leadership, with at least 5 years leading complex global HR transformations.
• Extensive experience in Workday implementation, optimization, and lifecycle management (Workday Pro certification preferred).
• Successful experience overseeing large-scale HRIS projects from conception to execution, with a focus on timelines, budgets and resource allocation.
• Proven track record in selecting and managing global SIs or consulting partners for HRIS rollouts.
• Expertise in HR transformation, shared services design, and digital operating model deployment.
• Demonstrated focus on efficiency, ROI, and user experience in HR technology implementations.
• Expertise in managing significant organizational change, including developing change management strategies and supporting employee transitions.
• Experience operating within multinational environments across Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions.
• Deep understanding of HR functional processes, compliance standards (e.g., GDPR), and global data governance.
