This is a leadership opportunity for a senior engineering executive to shape the future of enterprise software in the global energy sector. About the Role You will take ownership of engineering direction and delivery for a portfolio of applications supporting strategic planning, asset economics, and reserves management within the upstream energy industry. This is a high-impact role reporting to the Chief Technology leader, overseeing global teams and steering the evolution of mission-critical SaaS platforms.

What You’ll Do Leadership & Vision
  • Lead several engineering groups across backend, frontend, and data disciplines.
  • Define and enforce best practices for Agile delivery, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps adoption, and modular architectures.
  • Ensure products are reliable, scalable, and optimized for modern cloud environments.
Technical Direction
  • Translate product goals into executable roadmaps with measurable outcomes.
  • Make strategic architecture choices that enable long-term platform stability and innovation.
  • Drive integration of artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and advanced data capabilities.
Industry Alignment
  • Apply strong understanding of exploration and production economics, reserves classification standards, and asset lifecycle planning.
  • Collaborate with commercial and product leaders to ensure features address real-world energy workflows.
  • Utilize insights from competitive tools and market trends to differentiate offerings.
Team Building & Culture
  • Recruit and develop senior engineering leaders with a focus on high performance and accountability.
  • Promote continuous improvement, technical excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Build globally distributed teams that can execute with speed and quality.
Cross-Company Collaboration
  • Work closely with UX, product, commercial, and customer teams to align engineering outcomes with client needs.
  • Act as an executive-level technical representative in strategic customer and partner discussions.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in executive or senior leadership roles.
  • Track record of delivering cloud-native enterprise platforms at scale.
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies, DevOps principles, and containerized application delivery.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML into production systems.
  • Ability to lead large-scale modernization programs.
  • Proven capability to manage distributed global teams and balance innovation with operational excellence.
  • Knowledge of upstream energy operations, reserves reporting, and petroleum economics.
  • P&L ownership and budget management experience desirable.
Preferred
  • Direct experience in software for energy planning, reserves management, or asset economics.
  • Background in AI-driven forecasting and scenario modeling.
