Here at Focus Cloud, we are working with a Toronto-based organization embarking on a major finance transformation programme centred around the implementation of Workday Financials and Workday Adaptive Planning. They are looking for a hands-on Workday Adaptive & Finance Lead to act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing independent oversight of the implementation while partnering with Finance, Technology, and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing
- Act as the business lead and SME for Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning
- Support finance transformation initiatives across budgeting, forecasting, planning, reporting, GL, and finance operations
- Work closely with implementation partners and internal stakeholders to review solutions and delivery progress
- Champion a "test early, test often" approach throughout the programme lifecycle
- Review defects, challenge assumptions, and help drive effective resolution of issues
- Provide independent advice and recommendations to business stakeholders
- Support business readiness, adoption, and go-live activities
- Proven experience delivering Workday Financials implementations
- Strong experience with Workday Adaptive Planning
- Background in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, General Ledger, and finance operations
- Experience working on large-scale finance transformation programmes
- Strong testing, QA, UAT, or test governance experience
- Ability to challenge delivery partners and provide objective recommendations
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Hybrid role based in Toronto (2-3 days onsite)
- Initial engagement expected to run for approximately 20-24 months
- Adaptive Planning go-live targeted for March 2027
- Workday Financials go-live targeted for May 2028
