About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Workday Administrator - Financials to take ownership of the Workday Financials suite. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on optimizing systems, leading deployments, and ensuring Workday supports strategic financial operations. You will be responsible for managing, enhancing, and evolving the Workday Financials ecosystem to meet business needs and improve efficiency across finance functions.

Key Responsibilities

Client-Facing Implementation & Deployment
  • Lead and manage Workday Financials deployments from discovery to post go-live.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for finance-related modules, ensuring solutions align with Workday best practices.
  • Develop and deliver clear deployment plans, timelines, and stakeholder updates.
System Administration & Optimization
  • Administer and maintain Workday Financial modules including Financials, Projects, Expenses, Procurement, and Inventory.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for security, integrations, and troubleshooting within Financials.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Payroll, and IT teams to translate business requirements into system configurations.
Maintenance & Upgrades
  • Manage Workday semi-annual release cycles for Financials, testing and implementing new features.
  • Maintain data integrity, compliance, and security across all financial modules.
  • Configure dashboards, reports, and workflows tailored to financial operations.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Design and maintain financial dashboards and reports for leadership.
  • Deliver insights on financial performance, expense management, project profitability, and audit readiness.
Training & Support
  • Train end users and develop training materials for finance teams.
  • Provide Tier 2 support and collaborate with Workday Community or external vendors when needed.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Workday Pro certification in Financials / ERP.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday Financials administration experience.
  • Proven record in Workday Financials implementation and deployment.
  • Strong expertise in Workday security, business processes, integrations, and financial data structures.
  • Experience building and maintaining Workday financial reports and dashboards.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred:
  • Experience implementing Workday Financials in mid-to-large scale organizations.
  • Exposure to Workday Extend or Workday Studio integrations.
