Overview / Role Summary
We are seeking a senior, technically strong HR AI Experience & Architecture Lead to define and evolve our HR Assist platform into a next-generation, AI-powered employee experience layer. This role combines deep Workday and HR domain knowledge with strong technical architecture thinking and AI platform expertise. The individual will play a critical role in transforming HR Assist from a chatbot into a unified HR experience platform, designing connectivity across systems, leveraging AI capabilities, and delivering a seamless intelligent employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Assist Platform Evolution: Define and drive the next phase of HR Assist, transforming it from a chatbot into a central AI-powered HR experience layer.
  • Design how HR Assist supports employee self-service, manager interactions, case management, knowledge access, and transactional HR journeys.
  • Identify gaps in current capabilities and define future-state experience vision.
  • AI Operating Model & Platform Design: Lead the technical thinking and framework for how AI capabilities are delivered across HR systems, integrating with Workday, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Dayforce, and other systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend choices for building, integrating, or leveraging existing platforms to ensure seamless experiences.
  • Use Case Engineering & Solution Design: Translate HR needs into AI-enabled use cases and technical solutions, leading the design of intelligent workflows, conversational experiences, and AI-driven decision support. Collaborate closely with solution engineers, enterprise architects, and data teams.
  • Cross-Platform AI Strategy: Help operationalize the HR AI strategy and roadmap, defining clear patterns for the use of different AI technologies.
  • Technical Depth & Integration Thinking: Drive architecture for APIs, integrations, data flows across systems, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Governance, Risk & Responsible AI: Define governance for AI usage, ensuring compliance with security, ethical principles, and HR best practices.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate closely with HR leadership, HR technology product teams, enterprise architecture, security, and data teams to bridge business needs and technical execution.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in HR Technology, Enterprise Applications, or Digital Platforms.
  • Must have strong expertise in Workday architecture and HR processes.
  • Required familiarity with integration patterns and enterprise system design.
  • Minimum hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot / M365 ecosystem and LLM-based platforms (e.g., Claude or similar).
  • Necessary proven ability to translate business needs into technical architecture and solutions.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, data flows, and security considerations in HR systems.
Must have
  • Required experience in HR Technology with a minimum of 5+ years in relevant roles.
  • Familiarity with Workday architecture.
  • Workday AI experience

Desirable / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience working in product-based or platform-based operating models.
  • Knowledge of AI-enabled enterprise applications.
