Workday HRIS Analyst

We are working with a fantastic client in the education sector who is looking to hire a Workday HRIS Analyst to join their HR technology team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to HR operations, supporting end users, improving Workday processes, and acting as a trusted Workday subject matter expert across key HCM modules.

This role would suit someone with strong Workday Benefits knowledge, ideally from a Total Rewards or HR operations background, who also has broader exposure across other Workday HCM areas. You do not need to be a senior architect or deep technical expert, but you do need to have strong practical Workday knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to support, troubleshoot, train, and guide HR users.

The role
You will support and enhance Workday across a range of HCM modules, with Benefits being the key priority. You will work closely with HR teams and end users to resolve issues, improve processes, support system updates, create documentation, and ensure Workday is being used effectively across the organization.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide Workday support across Core HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Time Tracking, and Payroll
  • Act as a Workday subject matter expert for HR users and stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot Workday configuration issues, process problems, and system bugs
  • Support configuration changes and process improvements within Workday HCM
  • Help ensure Workday processes align with HR operations, employment legislation, collective agreements, and internal policies
  • Review Workday updates and assess new functionality for HR use
  • Support testing for Workday releases, patches, and enhancements
  • Create test plans, test cases, scripts, user guides, training materials, and process documentation
  • Train and guide HR staff and end users on Workday functionality and best practice
  • Support incident management and ensure system issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Build and maintain HR reports and dashboards
  • Support HR data accuracy, reporting, audits, data cleanup, and ad-hoc reporting requests
Must have
  • Strong Workday HCM experience
  • Experience across Compensation, Core HCM, Talent, Time Tracking, or Payroll
  • Good Workday Benefits module knowledge
  • Strong understanding of HR operations
  • Experience supporting HR users and resolving Workday issues
  • Ability to troubleshoot configuration and business process issues
  • Experience creating documentation, user guides, training materials, or process notes
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain Workday clearly to non-technical users
  • Ability to work with confidential HR data
  • Must be based in Ontario
  • Able to attend on-site group sessions at the college around once per month
