Key Responsibilities
- Onboarding Journey Ownership
- Lead the redesign of the end-to-end onboarding journey from offer acceptance to the first 90 days.
- Map current-state versus future-state experiences for employees, hiring managers, and HR operations.
- Identify key moments that matter and define target experience outcomes.
- Experience Design within Workday
- Translate experience vision into practical, scalable Workday-enabled solutions.
- Work within Workday's onboarding frameworks, business process configurations, notifications, tasks, and workflows.
- Friction Identification & Simplification
- Diagnose pain points such as excessive steps, unclear guidance for new hires, and redundant processes.
- Simplify workflows and promote automation-first and self-service-first thinking.
- Cross-Functional Experience Design
- Collaborate across recruiting, core HR, IT provisioning, learning, compliance, payroll, and benefits to ensure onboarding is a connected experience.
- Digital Experience & Integration Thinking
- Design how onboarding interfaces across various platforms including Workday and HR Assist.
- Ensure consistency and cohesion in the onboarding experience across multiple systems.
- Prototyping & Iteration
- Create journey maps, experience blueprints, and low-fidelity prototypes.
- Conduct working sessions with stakeholders for rapid iteration and validation based on real user feedback.
- Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Define metrics for success, including new hire experience scores and time-to-productivity.
- Establish a loop for continuous improvement in onboarding practices.
Required Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in HR Technology and Workday (Core HR/Onboarding).
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Workday business processes and onboarding capabilities.
- Proven experience in journey mapping and service design.
- Ability to manage cross-functional program delivery.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Must have
- Required years of experience in Workday Onboarding and Journeys
- Essential technical capability specifically with Workday systems.
Desirable / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience in digital transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with HR Assist or chatbot technologies.
- Additional experience in change management and user experience optimization.
