Role – We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Data Architect to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS application development, data warehousing, and cloud architecture. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance AWS solutions.
Key skills:
- 8+ years of experience in software development and architecture.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS solutions.
- Strong proficiency with AWS services: SQS, Lambda, S3, CloudTrail, Aurora PostgreSQL, API Gateway, IAM, AWS Athena.
- Experience with microservices architecture, serverless computing, and containerization.
- Proficiency in programming languages, primarily Python and Node.js.
- Expertise in DevOps practices and tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, Git, etc.).
- Comprehensive knowledge of cloud security principles, including identity and access management, data protection, and threat mitigation.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional preferred.
- Deep expertise in data modeling and integration.
- Ability to conduct design workshops and work sessions to analyze business requirements.
- Proven ability to translate complex business needs into effective AWS-based solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing technical challenges.
- Consulting background is a plus.
- Strong communication skills (oral & written)
- Rights to work in the UK is must (No Sponsorship available)
- Create high-level blueprints for managing data assets and design scalable, secure AWS data solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Design and build data models, pipelines, and storage solutions using AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, and more.
- Establish data policies, standards, and security controls, including encryption and access management, to ensure data integrity, compliance, and accessibility.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and propose migration strategies.
- Provide expertise in data management technologies, best practices, and emerging AWS trends; mentor junior team members.
- Translate organizational needs into executable data strategy roadmaps and technical designs.
