You will work as a Data Governance Consultant, helping customers understand their data, define clear governance structures, and implement them in practice.

Your work will span concept, communication, and technical implementation, with a strong focus on Microsoft Purview.
You will:
- Analyse existing data structures, processes, and governance models
- Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Design data governance frameworks, including:
- Roles and responsibilities (e.g. data ownership and stewardship)
- Policies, standards, and governance processes
- Plan and moderate workshops with business stakeholders, IT teams, and management
- Translate complex governance concepts into clear, documented, and trainable structures
- Support adoption through communication and enablement activities
- Implement governance concepts using Microsoft Purview:
- Design and configure Purview environments
- Support data cataloguing, metadata management, and transparency
- Work closely with internal consultants and architects on end-to-end solutions
- The continuous development of data governance methodologies
- Best practices for governance, metadata, and data transparency
- Presales activities, including workshops, pitches, and proof-of-concepts
- Knowledge sharing and capability building within the team
You already have experience in data governance and/or data consulting and enjoy working in structured, complex environments.
You bring:
- Practical experience with data governance concepts and frameworks
- Strong analytical and structured thinking
- Confidence working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience facilitating workshops and guiding discussions
- A solution-oriented, independent working style with strong team focus
- Genuine interest in data, governance, and modern data platforms
- Very good German language skills (C1 level, spoken and written)
- Microsoft Purview or other data catalog / metadata management tools
- Modern data architectures (data lake, lakehouse, analytics platforms)
- Cloud-based data platforms, ideally within the Microsoft ecosystem
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview
- Exposure to Azure-based data and analytics architectures
- Familiarity with data management or governance frameworks
- Experience working in consulting or customer-facing roles
