Full Stack Software Engineer
We are hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team with a global media organisation.
Our client are currently building an in-house solution to replace an existing, outdated CRM and require a Full Stack Software Engineer with strong experience across AWS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Python, who can work independently and take ownership of key engineering decisions.
The role is for a 3–6 month contract (initial) working Inside IR35 with 2 days per week on site in London.
As the successful Engineer you will;
• Design and develop scalable full stack applications using Next.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
• Build and maintain backend services using Javascript and AWS (Lambda, microservices architecture)
• Deploy, manage, and scale applications using Kubernetes in a cloud-native AWS environment
• Use PostgreSQL
• Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices across the full software development lifecycle
You will have strong experience in:
• Strong experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer or similar role
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, including modern frameworks such as Next.js
• Experience with JavaScript (And ideally Python) for backend development
• Strong experience working with AWS services (including Lambda)
• Hands-on experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, BullMQ or similar)
• Experience working with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
• Strong experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
• Experience building scalable, distributed systems and microservices architectures
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of Agile / Scrum development environments
