You’ll design, build, and optimise modern analytics platforms using Microsoft Fabric, including:
- Data integration and ingestion pipelines
- Data engineering and ELT / ETL workflows
- Lakehouse architecture and performance optimisation
- Semantic models and Power BI solutions
- Take ownership of lakehouse design, tuning, and optimisation
- Build robust, scalable pipelines with strong data quality and governance
- Implement security models, including RLS and OLS
- Work closely with architects, consultants, and data scientists on end-to-end solutions
- Engage directly with customers across the full lifecycle:
- Requirements & discovery
- Solution design
- Implementation
- Go-live and handover
- Best practices for Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
- Governance, security, and automation standards
- Internal capability by mentoring others and sharing knowledge
THE CANDIDATE
You’ll already have solid experience across the Microsoft data ecosystem, including several of:
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Data Lake
- Power BI
- SQL Server
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, or a strong desire to become a go-to expert
- Strong understanding of:
- Data modelling (star schemas, semantic models)
- Modern analytics architectures
- ETL / ELT patterns
- Data security concepts (RLS / OLS)
- Confident coding skills in:
- SQL
- Python
- Spark
- A customer-first mindset — able to balance technical quality with business value
- Ownership mentality, team focus, and genuine enthusiasm for Data & AI
- German at C1 level (spoken and written)
- Experience with DevOps practices:
- Git / version control
- CI/CD pipelines
- Automated deployments
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code or deployment automation in Azure
