MY CLIENT

One of the leading European digital transformation and data consultancies, operating at enterprise scale and trusted by major organisations across multiple sectors. They specialise in modern Microsoft-based architectures, helping customers move from fragmented, legacy data estates to governed, scalable, cloud-native analytics platforms. Microsoft Fabric sits at the centre of their strategic roadmap.

What sets them apart is not just technical depth, but delivery maturity:

  • Long-term customer partnerships, not one-off projects
  • Strong architectural governance and best-practice standards
  • Real investment in people, capability building, and technical excellence
THE ROLE

You’ll design, build, and optimise modern analytics platforms using Microsoft Fabric, including:

  • Data integration and ingestion pipelines
  • Data engineering and ELT / ETL workflows
  • Lakehouse architecture and performance optimisation
  • Semantic models and Power BI solutions
  • Take ownership of lakehouse design, tuning, and optimisation
  • Build robust, scalable pipelines with strong data quality and governance
  • Implement security models, including RLS and OLS
  • Work closely with architects, consultants, and data scientists on end-to-end solutions
  • Engage directly with customers across the full lifecycle:
    • Requirements & discovery
    • Solution design
    • Implementation
    • Go-live and handover
Beyond delivery, you’ll help shape:

  • Best practices for Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
  • Governance, security, and automation standards
  • Internal capability by mentoring others and sharing knowledge

THE CANDIDATE

You’ll already have solid experience across the Microsoft data ecosystem, including several of:

  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Azure Data Lake
  • Power BI
  • SQL Server
On top of that:

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, or a strong desire to become a go-to expert
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Data modelling (star schemas, semantic models)
    • Modern analytics architectures
    • ETL / ELT patterns
    • Data security concepts (RLS / OLS)
  • Confident coding skills in:
    • SQL
    • Python
    • Spark
  • A customer-first mindset — able to balance technical quality with business value
  • Ownership mentality, team focus, and genuine enthusiasm for Data & AI
  • German at C1 level (spoken and written)
Nice to Have (Not Essential)
  • Experience with DevOps practices:
    • Git / version control
    • CI/CD pipelines
    • Automated deployments
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code or deployment automation in Azure
SALARY PACKAGE: €70-110,000 + benefits + bonus

Why should you be keen on this role?

  • Real ownership and influence over architecture and standards
  • High-quality customer engagements
