Role – We are looking for a skilled Salesforce Data Migration Engineer to lead and execute data migration activities across Salesforce implementations and transformation programs. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering robust data migration solutions, ensuring data quality, integrity, and seamless transition from legacy systems into Salesforce.

Role – We are looking for a skilled Salesforce Data Migration Engineer to lead and execute data migration activities across Salesforce implementations and transformation programs. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering robust data migration solutions, ensuring data quality, integrity, and seamless transition from legacy systems into Salesforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end data migration strategies into Salesforce
- Analyse source systems and map data to Salesforce objects (standard & custom)
- Develop and execute ETL/ELT processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading
- Cleanse, validate, and enrich data to ensure high data quality standards
- Perform data profiling, reconciliation, and validation activities
- Manage large-scale data migrations, including multiple cycles (mock loads, UAT, production)
- Work closely with business stakeholders to define data requirements and rules
- Collaborate with Salesforce developers, architects, and functional teams
- Handle data migration using tools such as Data Loader, Data Import Wizard, or ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, MuleSoft, Azure Data Factory)
- Support cutover planning and execution
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and GDPR requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues during and after migration
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in Salesforce data migration projects (end-to-end).
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data model (standard & custom objects, relationships).
- Hands-on experience with:
- Salesforce Data Loader / Workbench / APIs.
- ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, MuleSoft, ADF).
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
- Experience with data mapping, transformation logic, and data quality frameworks.
- Understanding of data governance and data quality best practices.
- Experience with data reconciliation and validation techniques.
- Ability to handle large volumes of data (millions of records).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple migration cycles.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong documentation and organisational skills.
