Role – We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Maps Consultant to design, configure, and optimise Salesforce Maps and Advanced Routing capabilities to improve field operations, territory coverage, and route efficiency. This role focuses on maximising value from existing Salesforce Maps and Sales Cloud capabilities, enabling data-driven territory planning, visit optimisation, and geo-based decision making. You will work closely with sales, field, and quality teams to deliver measurable productivity and efficiency improvements.

Role – We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Maps Consultant to design, configure, and optimise Salesforce Maps and Advanced Routing capabilities to improve field operations, territory coverage, and route efficiency. This role focuses on maximising value from existing Salesforce Maps and Sales Cloud capabilities, enabling data-driven territory planning, visit optimisation, and geo-based decision making. You will work closely with sales, field, and quality teams to deliver measurable productivity and efficiency improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops with Sales, Field Operations, and Quality teams to understand current challenges and improvement opportunities.
- Configure and optimise Salesforce Maps, including:
- Route optimisation and mobile routing
- Territory planning and balancing
- Proximity searches, geo-fencing, boundary layers, and polygons
- Visit frequency rules and schedule optimisation
- Define geo-based criteria to identify priority accounts, incorporating geography, sales attributes, promotional windows, and performance data.
- Fine-tune routing engines using time-based, cost-based, and constraint-based optimisation.
- Configure dashboards and reports to track territory efficiency, visit cadence, SLA adherence, and route performance.
- Integrate Salesforce Maps with Sales Cloud objects (Accounts, Visits, Opportunities, Tasks).
- Provide training and enablement for field users on Maps mobile applications, routing, and visit planning.
- Support extension of Salesforce Maps usage to Quality, Compliance, or Audit teams.
- Produce clear solution documentation, configuration guides, and operational handover materials.
- Collaborate with internal Salesforce teams to recommend future enhancements and optimisation opportunities.
Key Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Maps, including Maps Advanced, Territory Planning, and Route Optimisation.
- Solid understanding of geo-analytics, proximity modelling, and routing constraints.
- Experience configuring map layers, boundaries, polygons, and geospatial data structures.
- Strong knowledge of the Sales Cloud data model (Accounts, Leads, Opportunities) and field operations workflows.
- Declarative-first Salesforce configuration experience (Flows, standard configuration, automation).
- Proven ability to translate business priorities into geo-based visit and routing rules.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder engagement, and workshop facilitation skills.
