Role – We are seeking an experienced SAP CAR Functional Consultant to support an enterprise-scale S/4HANA Transformation Programme, focusing on Dress Rehearsal and Cutover activities. You will work across SAP CAR, POSDTA, and integration workstreams to ensure a smooth migration to the new S/4HANA and RISE environment. This role requires someone with strong hands-on SAP CAR expertise, particularly across POSDTA, integration, migration, and retail-focused processes.

Role – We are seeking an experienced SAP CAR Functional Consultant to support an enterprise-scale S/4HANA Transformation Programme, focusing on Dress Rehearsal and Cutover activities. You will work across SAP CAR, POSDTA, and integration workstreams to ensure a smooth migration to the new S/4HANA and RISE environment. This role requires someone with strong hands-on SAP CAR expertise, particularly across POSDTA, integration, migration, and retail-focused processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work within a cross-functional team to support the SAP CAR migration into S/4HANA and RISE environments.
- Assess existing SAP CAR architecture and integrations, identifying custom components and migration dependency areas.
- Define and execute the SAP CAR migration strategy, including data cleansing, harmonisation, and cutover planning.
- Configure and validate SAP CAR components in S/4HANA, ensuring compatibility with POS systems, BW/4HANA, and retail applications.
- Lead data migration, reconciliation and validation of both master and transactional data.
- Support full test cycles (Unit, SIT, UAT), ensuring system stability and business continuity.
- Provide go-live, hyper-care and post-implementation support.
- Produce high-quality functional documentation including configuration, functional specs, and test scripts.
Key Skills:
- 7+ years of SAP experience with strong retail domain knowledge.
- Minimum 2 end-to-end SAP POSDTA implementation projects.
- Strong experience in SAP CAR landscape design, configuration, and integration.
- Proven experience in POSDTA Upgrade & Migration projects.
- Hands-on experience in SAP CAR configuration and functional specification writing.
- Strong POS integration experience and understanding of connected retail applications.
- Experience with SLT data setup between CAR and S/4.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
