Role – We are seeking an experienced SAP Data Architect to assess and design an enterprise data landscape to support integration with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and potentially SAP Datasphere. This role sits at the intersection of data, finance, actuarial and investment operations; supporting planning, reporting and regulatory requirements through scalable data integration models.

This role sits at the intersection of data, finance, actuarial and investment operations; supporting planning, reporting and regulatory requirements through scalable data integration models.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Landscape Assessment
- Analyse existing data sources and ingestion processes
- Map data lineage across actuarial, investment, policy and operational domains
- Identify gaps in standardisation, automation and data stewardship
- Data Readiness & Quality
- Evaluate completeness, accuracy, timeliness and consistency of data streams
- Develop a readiness scoring model for each source system/domain
- Integration Architecture
- Define source-to-target mappings for S/4HANA and SAC
- Establish transformation rules, validation logic and exception handling
- Recommend harmonisation approaches using ETL/MDH/data hub tooling
- SAP Datasphere Strategy
- Assess the feasibility and benefits of introducing Datasphere for unified data access, modelling and governance
- Define usage scenarios and value cases supporting advanced analytics & decisioning
- Governance, Compliance & Documentation
- Align data architecture to regulatory frameworks (e.g., Solvency II, ORSA, AML)
- Define data ownership, stewardship and operating models
- Produce functional specifications, architecture diagrams and integration roadmaps
Key Skills
- Strong expertise with:
✔ SAP S/4HANA
✔ SAP Analytics Cloud
✔ SAP Datasphere
✔ Data Lake / MDH platforms (e.g., Snowflake)
✔ ETL tools, APIs and integration frameworks - Proficiency in data modelling & data architecture principles
- Experience working across multi-vendor and cross-functional delivery environments
- Excellent documentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
