Position: Smart Meter Project Manager

Role – As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of Smart Meter GSOP initiatives—from shaping business cases and securing approvals to planning implementation roadmaps and delivering against agreed timelines and budgets. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and operations leadership to ensure project outcomes align with business needs and regulatory expectations.
Key skills:

• 10+ years in Project Management roles.
• Proven hands-on experience in Smart Meter systems and GSOP projects, with strong knowledge of customer experience (CX) journeys.
• Strong track record in planning, monitoring, and delivering complex projects.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear, functional specifications for technical teams.
• Skilled at ensuring alignment between business and technology teams with minimal deviation from business needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present recommendations and updates to stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong facilitation and articulation skills to influence and drive decision-making.
• Consulting background is a plus.
• Strong communication skills (oral & written)
• Rights to work in the UK is must (No Sponsorship available)

Responsibilities:

• Manage and drive Smart Meter GSOP projects within Smart Meter operations.
• Work effectively in environments where requirements are not always clear at the start, proactively engaging and influencing stakeholders to secure needed information.
• Report directly to the Head of Smart Meter Operations, presenting business cases at Program Board meetings and managing budget approvals, project roadmaps, and implementation strategies.
• Oversee project planning, budgeting, risk reporting, and mitigation.
• Ensure efficient and transparent stakeholder management across business and technical teams.
• Adopt agreed project assurance roles and reporting structures.
• Support face-to-face meetings when required (UK office hours, Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm).
