Role – We are looking for a hands-on and experienced Software Engineer with expertise in C++ and C# .NET to join our team. This role involves designing and building applications that support power utilities products, helping modernize and optimize systems within the utilities sector.

Key skills:
  • Strong expertise in C# .NET development.
  • Proficiency in C++ for application development.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications.
  • Ability to write secure, efficient, and optimized code.
  • Proven track record of debugging and testing software applications.
  • Experience integrating APIs, third-party tools, and libraries into C# applications.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working with Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of the Power Transmission and Distribution domain.
  • Understanding of challenges and solutions in the utilities sector.
  • Consulting background is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written)
  • Rights to work in the UK is must (No Sponsorship available)
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using C++, C# .NET for power utility solutions.
  • Implement, test, and debug applications to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Optimize code for performance, security, and memory efficiency.
  • Monitor and enhance the responsiveness of .NET applications across different environments.
  • Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and libraries into existing systems to enhance functionality.
  • Conduct thorough unit, integration, and performance testing to ensure application stability.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Contribute actively to Agile processes, supporting continuous improvement of workflows and delivery.
