Role Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior Workday HCM Data Consultant to lead data workstreams across complex Workday implementations. This role focuses on data migration, transformation, validation, and loading to support successful Phase 1 deployments and other Workday HCM projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the end-to-end data workstream in Workday HCM implementations.
- Define and execute data migration strategies, working closely with functional consultants and client stakeholders.
- Manage data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities across all HCM domains, including:
- Core HCM
- Compensation
- Recruiting
- Absence
- (Other modules as applicable)
- Utilize Workday tools such as EIBs, Workday Spreadsheet Templates, and loading frameworks to manage high volumes of data.
- Conduct data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation activities to ensure data quality.
- Advise clients on data best practices and Workday-specific data structures.
- Lead mock conversions, cutover planning, and go-live data activities.
- Participate in multiple Phase 1 implementations, ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely data delivery.
- 4+ years of Workday consulting experience, with a strong focus on HCM data and migration.
- Proven track record delivering Workday data solutions in complex enterprise environments.
- Experience in multiple full lifecycle Workday Phase 1 implementations.
- Strong understanding of Workday HCM data model and business processes.
- Hands-on expertise with EIBs, calculated fields, loading templates, and data mapping techniques.
- Familiarity with tools such as Excel, SQL, or scripting for data transformation is a plus.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Fluent in English; French proficiency is highly desirable.
- Workday certifications in HCM or Data Migration are a plus.
