What The Role Involves:
Integration Architecture & Management
- Technical Integration Delivery: Design, configure, test, deploy, and maintain Workday integrations using:
- Workday Studio
- Workday Orchestrate
- Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs)
- Core Connectors (configured both standalone/outside and within the Cloud Connect)
- Long-Term Architectural Decisions: Establish sound, sustainable integration architecture decisions and design standards that balance immediate business needs with long-term system health, scalability, and maintainability.
- Operations & Monitoring: Own and support daily integration operations. Monitor performance, track process runs and proactively resolve failures.
- Data Security & Integrity: Ensure data accuracy, privacy, and regulatory compliance across all integrated enterprise systems.
Technical Documentation & Governance (Core Focus)
- Maintain Comprehensive Documentation: Treat technical documentation as a primary responsibility by creating and continuously updating technical design specifications, integration mapping documents, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
- Governance Standards: Establish monitoring and support standards for integration operations to ensure clean knowledge sharing and seamless handover across team members.
- Compliance & Audit: Support audit, compliance, and security requirements related to employee data.
Post-Go-Live Stabilization & Support
- Act as a key technical resource during Hypercare and ongoing post-go-live support phases.
- Perform root-cause analysis on complex integration failures and implement permanent corrective and preventive fixes.
- Coordinate technical support activities with Workday Support, implementation partners, and third-party vendors.
Continuous Improvement & Partnership
- Collaborate closely with HR Operations, Payroll, IT, Finance, and business leaders to translate business requirements into technical architectural solutions.
- Identify opportunities to streamline data flows, reduce technical debt, and improve process automation.
- Support testing and validation activities for bi-annual Workday releases, updates, and new platform functionality.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on, production-level Workday integration design, development, architecture, and support experience.
- Core Technical Expertise (Mandatory):
- Practical experience designing, building, and troubleshooting Workday Studio
- Hands-on experience developing visual orchestration flows using Workday Orchestrate.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs).
- Proven experience configuring, customizing, and managing Core Connectors both within and outside the Cloud Connect framework.
- Architecture & Documentation Focus:
- Proven track record of making sound, long-term architectural decisions for enterprise integration ecosystems.
- Strong commitment to maintaining rigorous, high-quality technical documentation and system design specs.
- Technical Fundamentals: Proficiency with XML, XSLT, Web Services, and data transformation concepts.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, HRIS, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills.
Nice to have:
- Official Workday Integration Certification(s) (e.g., Workday Studio, Core Connectors/EIB).
- Experience architecting and supporting Workday integrations in a multi-country / global environment.
- Knowledge of integration touchpoints within Workday platform, Identity Management systems, enterprise ERPs (e.g., SAP/Oracle), and global payroll platforms(PECI) but also familiarity with Workday Payroll Exports (PICOF).
- Prior experience working in post-go-live stabilization, hypercare, and long-term optimization phases.
